“…craft clients’ ideas into visuals and reality…”

Heather VerhageHeather works her magic behind the scenes. With her expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM), she improves the documentation process and helps clients see their ideas before a shovel even hits the ground. She is also involved in space planning and interior design solutions.

She came to Continuum Architects + Planners right after graduating from Milwaukee Area Technical College bringing knowledge that has positively impacted the firms’ productivity. Her skills translate to any building type from higher education projects to retirement community housing.

What made you want to be an architect when you grew up?
I came from a family of craftspeople—woodworker, seamstress, ceramic artist, carpenter—so I was surrounded by and encouraged to use my creativity. Most influential was my father, who was a very talented carpenter who hand-drafted and hand-built our house.

What is your favorite thing to do to unwind?
Playing sports is the best—volleyball, kickball, softball, football, dance, etc. If not playing sports, watching it on TV or in-person.

What do you love about Milwaukee?
Spending time with my friends and family—numero uno.
