Milwaukee, Wisconsin
These multi-family units were designed for a block long site in the Historic Walker's Point District of Milwaukee. The site plan strives to create both a sense of privacy and safety as well as allow for a community feeling among the units. The detailing of the buildings takes its cue from the surrounding historic homes in the neighborhood.

| The front doors of each unit open to the street while the back doors open onto a communal dock that allows for an accessible entrance. The complex consists of four single-story, 3-bedroom corner units and six two-story, 2-bedroom units that anchor the middle of each group. These buildings were manufactured in a factory as modular units, and then delivered and finished on site. This is an excellent example of collaboration between low-cost modular housing, architectural design and site planning.
