The Rental Car Center's transaction counters and offices are located inside the parking structure, mandating very low ceiling heights while the public space extends outward with a new glass curtain wall. This architectural transparency aids customers in finding specific rental car companies from the baggage claim area while visually enlivening the pick-up roadway. From a pedestrian level, the new Rental Car Center extension masks the grayness of the parking structure and turns a formerly dull corridor into an activated and bustling urban roadway.
