The former Kramer Foundry is reinvented as a lifestyle center comprising a campus of three buildings. The foundry is located at South 1st Street and Pittsburg Avenue in Walker's Point, an old industrial neighborhood that is enjoying a renaissance with multi-use developments springing up along scattered sites.
Castings Point is a three-story commercial/business building on a triangular site. This building is a gateway to Walker's Point upon crossing the river and leaving the Third Ward. The second new structure is the four-story Kramer Loft Apartments, designed as apartments with commercial opportunity on the first floor. This project will house a mixture of fifty-five apartments with one or two bedrooms. The first floor apartments are set above street elevation and are designed as townhomes with entrances from the adjoining Barclay Street.
