Project Overview

The Social Development Commission is in the business of empowering Milwaukee County residents with the resources to move beyond poverty.  After outgrowing their previous limited facility, SDC approached Continuum to conduct a comprehensive study and analysis of several potential locations.  After selecting a new site, SDC turned to Continuum to program and design their new space.  The new 30,000-square-foot facility will allow them to provide social services to the community far more effectively.  As departments grew, employees were placed wherever space was available, creating an environment that runs inefficiently and is not conducive to collaboration.  SDC’s new offices boast five high tech conference rooms, three computer labs, 35 private offices, large open office areas for collaboration, and plenty of room for expansion.  SDC is currently raising funds to renovate the building’s façade, which they plan to use as a brand for their other locations.
