Falamak Nourzad

Principal, AIA, NCARB, LEED, ASID

For Falamak, architecture was a means to satisfy her love of art.
“I never expected I’d become an architect. I am a closet painter – I love to do oil paintings. I looked for a path where I could integrate art in a more technical form.”

Now with over 25 years of experience, Falamak is co-founder and design principal for Continuum Architects. She has turned her passion for art into a career focused on rebuilding and revitalizing communities through modern architecture. Falamak works tirelessly with local developers, municipalities, and community groups to provide high-quality affordable and market rate housing options throughout urban Milwaukee. In the last five years, her projects have won 12 awards from the Business Journal, the Milwaukee Mayor’s office, and WCREW, among others. Falamak also brings expertise in historic consulting and has served as lead architect for the adaptive reuse of some of Milwaukee’s most cherished historic buildings. Falamak is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. She belongs to both the American Institute of Architects and the American Society of Interior Designers Wisconsin Chapters. In addition, she continues to mentor students at UWM’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning and is a board member of the Creative Alliance of Milwaukee and the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission.
