Bayfield Senior Housing is an inclusive and sustainable community that fulfils a critical need and demand for senior housing in the Bayfield County. Continuum created various masterplan options to study the optimal building prototype and organization including single level duplex units, stacked flats, townhomes, and a podium building. Depending on the cost estimates, the final solution was one low rise, podium building that maintained the old growth trees as much as possible and allowed for natural drainage of the site and topography. 2 story townhomes are integrated within the building footprint. Patios and balconies allow each unit to engage with the surrounding beauty creating an ideal environment for senior independent living.
