This underutilized vacant school site is master planned to be converted into a thriving community and neighborhood asset.
The Redevelopment consists of 2 story Stacked Flat apartments, townhomes, with an integrated community service organization that will foster healthy living for residents by advocating work and use of a community garden. The architectural design respects the scale of the established residential neighborhood. Community gardens are provided as a resource for onsite residents as well as the neighborhood residents.
The site was envisioned to be developed with many options, even, with a high-density apartments in two phases and will require PUD approval from the City of Milwaukee for its zoning, use, and development standards. It was slated to l utilize LIHTC from WHEDA to create a variety of affordable housing options in the neighborhood.
