UW – Madison ROTC Planning Study /

Madison, WI

UW-Madison has played an important role in military training for over 150 years. However, the ROTC programs for the three Armed Forces have historically been shuffled around campus from one temporary location to another.

Continuum Architects prepared an advanced planning study to evaluate design and construction of a new, stand-alone four-story building that would provide space for all three Armed Forces ROTC programs in one facility. By creating a dedicated ROTC facility in a single location, the programs would not only provide the programs with a much-needed permanent home, but would also improve synergies and efficiencies between the programs.

The goal is to provide ROTC with a successful academic unit that is nationally-ranked among top-tier ROTC programs. It is important to the University that these facilities reflect UW-Madison’s exceptional educational standards in order to attract and retain the best and brightest candidates.
